[WILD UPDATE 🌲] Alaskan Bush People’s Bear Brown Shares New Life in Washington — Here’s Exactly Where He Lives

Bear Brown’s Big Move: Alaskan Bush People Star Reveals His Family’s Next Chapter in Washington—and Future Plans for Alaska
Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown has officially returned to his roots in Washington—and fans are getting a clearer picture of what’s next for the adventurous father of three. In a heartfelt Instagram update posted on June 13, 2023, Bear revealed that he had permanently moved back to the mountains, settling once again into the rugged lifestyle he’s long embraced. A follow-up video shared in November 2024 gave fans a closer look into his family’s living situation, confirming they are currently staying with his brother Gabriel “Gabe” Brown’s family in a shared rental home.
“It’s big enough for both of our packs together, but it’s only a temporary plan,” Bear explained, noting that the ultimate goal is to save up and purchase a piece of land—ideally in Alaska. “We all have a real strong love and connection with Alaska. It is a magnificent place,” he said, adding that the plan involves building separate houses for each family on one shared property. “It’s gonna be really good to get a nice piece of land—our own piece of property like in Alaska.”

While Bear has always cherished life on the mountain, he acknowledged its many hardships, including treacherous winters, unreliable roads, and the constant threat of wildfires. Despite those challenges, Bear is committed to the off-grid lifestyle. “I have no electricity and no running water,” he shared in his June 2023 video. “For water, I use a hand pump at a well or a generator—but gasoline is so expensive now, I only run it when absolutely necessary.”
Phone and internet service are also limited. Bear revealed that while there’s some cell signal on the mountain’s edge, he has no connectivity at his home site, making communication difficult. “I just wanted everybody to know that I am officially back on the mountain permanently,” he said proudly.

Before their return to Washington, Bear and his wife, Raiven Adams, had been living in Texas to be closer to Raiven’s family during her pregnancy with their second child. Their journey as parents has not been without hardship. Their eldest son, River, was born in March 2020, while their second son arrived in January 2023 following a scheduled C-section. Unfortunately, like his older brother, the newborn had complications and was admitted to the NICU. “It’s so difficult making it to 38 weeks and baby boy going to the NICU like his big brother,” Raiven shared at the time.
Despite the ups and downs, Bear and Raiven are focused on the future—one that may take them back to the wild landscapes of Alaska, where their family’s legacy began. For now, they’re rebuilding, reconnecting, and preparing for the next great adventure.
