Counting On alum Josh Duggar has reportedly been struggling in his life in prison. Counting On: Josh Duggar Gets Update On Prison Release
One of the latest updates from Josh was his new prison release date. The Counting On alum was initially set to be released on August 12, 2032. But after getting caught with a contraband phone, it was then moved to October 2, 2032. It was revealed that heâs now expected to be released from prison on December 23, 2032. The fact that it got delayed for another two months may indicate that Josh broke another rule in prison. There have been reports that Joshâs cell has been facing punishment due to their behavior, and it seems theyâre now paying the price for it.

New reports recently surfaced claiming that Josh Duggarâs cell is going through some harsh living conditions. An insider said that an inmate was complaining about a â100-year-oldâ building that has mold on the cells and air vents, which could be very dangerous to health. The prisoner said that theyâve tried to ask to be relocated, but their wish was never granted.

Itâs unclear if Josh was suffering from the same living condition. The prisoner also claimed âK2â had circulated in the cell last year, which is a synthetic version of marijuana. However, the inmate said that they hadnât smoked anything since July 2024. But theyâre still getting mistreated, adding that nobody gave him proper medications when he suffered from a seizure.
Counting On: This Wasnât The First Time For Josh Duggarâs Cell
This was not the first time Joshâs cell suffered from âinhumane living conditions.â In February 2024, a prisoner filed a lawsuit claiming that the food served to them had maggots. He also accused the prison of not providing any medical care. Josh and his cell were also punished earlier this year after an inmate splashed a staff member with a dangerous chemical mixture. This led to the prison cutting off their food budget so they wouldnât be able to buy the products that were used for the prank again.

Josh Duggarâs cell reportedly went on a hunger strike last March. This comes after the Counting On alumâs cell got their recreational time limited over contraband. Itâs clear to see that Joshâs life in prison is getting more complicated. But sources have claimed that heâs still getting special treatment for being a TV personality, including being sent to a dorm with special benefits.
