Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar’s Police Report Reveals Tragic Reason For Law Enforcement Visit
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s police report has been leaked and reveals the visit was in response to a death in the family. TMZ obtained the documents, which stated Jim Bob’s 75-year-old uncle, Tommy Lester, had suddenly passed away in his home. Approximately two hours after the tragedy, police were sent to conduct a “follow-up investigation” at Jim Bob’s home. Tommy’s husband, Lawrence Nestrud, told police that Tommy fell several times the day prior but was unwilling to seek medical help for fear of being forced into assisted living. According to TMZ, the report stated Tommy’s death was not suspicious and was a natural result of cardiac arrest.
Amy Duggar Reveals Jim Bob Wasn’t Speaking To His Deceased Uncle
It is rather strange for law enforcement to be assigned to inform non-immediate family members of a death. Assuming Amy’s claims are factual, it is even more strange that Jim Bob was estranged from that family member. It isn’t necessarily unbelievable for Jim Bob and other Duggar family members to be separated from Tommy, considering he was married to a man. The Duggars, notoriously associated with conservative viewpoints, have openly rescinded their support of the LGBTQ+ community. It has not been determined whether Tommy’s sexual orientation was the reason for his estrangement from his nephew and other family members, but duly noted.
Jim Bob and Michelle were visited by Washington County Arkansas sheriffs after Jim Bob’s uncle Tommy suddenly died. Still to be answered is why Jim Bob was on the list to be notified of the tragedy considering their supposed estranged relationship. Tommy is survived by his husband, Lawrence Nestrud, whose status with other Duggar family members is unknown. Amy claimed several members of the Duggar unit were no longer in contact with Tommy, but those that are will likely show their grievances. If another round of episodes for Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets is released, the relationship and death of Tommy could be a topic of discussion.
