1000-LB Sisters: Amanda Halterman And Family Dealing With Tragedy
For any 1000-lb Sisters fans who have not been keeping up with family updates, Katie Slaton recently passed from cancer. As viewers know, the Slaton/Halterman family is big, and there are a lot of siblings and cousins who make up this brood.
Unfortunately for the family, Amanda Halterman broke the news to her followers recently that her family member had passed on. Taking to social media, Amanda wrote, “It is with a completely crushed heart and spirit that I have to post this. My little cousin went to sit at the feet of Jesus yesterday. She was a force to be reckoned with and showed love that was accepting and given freely. She was the life of the part and my best friend.”

TLC Fans Disgusted By Latest Cash Grab
While this is a time of mourning and sadness for the Slaton/Halterman family, 1000-lb Sisters fans noticed something else that is deeply upsetting them. It turns out, Amanda has been promoting her Facebook page and asking her followers to subscribe to her content, which comes out to $0.99 per month.
While this is common for a lot of TLC celebs to do, Amanda is even peddling her subscription on the post announcing the passing of her family member. Not surprisingly, many 1000-lb Sisters fans are calling out this cash grab, with many commenters pointing out the fact that this is in very poor taste.

- One recent commenter said, “That’s BS we have been followers for years watching y’all’s show and now you want us to PAY to subscribe to your fb!?!!!! I guarantee your views and followers will drop now. Shows how appreciative you are for your fans!”
According to Amanda Halterman, she claims that the post asking her followers to subscribe posts “automatically” whenever she posts something to her page. Either way, however, a lot of fans are not happy about it, with many agreeing that this is not a good look for her.
