Jessa Duggar Welcomes Sixth Child, Shares Sister Jordyn’s Special Role in Delivery
Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald have announced the arrival of their sixth child. In a new YouTube video, Jessa shared intimate details of the home birth and highlighted the special role her sister, Jordyn Duggar, played during the delivery.
Jessa revealed that this was the first time Jordyn had ever attended one of her births. Jessa asked Jordyn to cut the umbilical cord, a task her husband Ben has historically preferred not to do. Jessa said Jordyn was “genuinely thrilled” by the opportunity, calling the experience “awesome.”
In the video, Jessa also spoke about the unwavering support of her mother, Michelle Duggar, who was also part of the birth team. Jessa praised her mom for her “assistance, encouragement, and guidance” throughout the delivery. The reality star mentioned that her mother would be staying with them to help care for the new baby.
While the new parents have not yet revealed the gender or name of their sixth child, Jessa hinted that an upcoming video would include her five older children in the big reveal. The close-knit nature of the Duggar family was a central theme of Jessa’s video, with Jordyn’s involvement serving as a poignant example of their strong familial bonds during life’s most significant moments.
