After Years of Drama, Bear Brown & Raiven Adams Announce They’re Giving Love Another Chance— “We’re A Family Again!”

On July 29, 2025, Bear Brown, star of Alaskan Bush People, surprised fans with heartfelt news on Instagram: he and his former fiancée, Raiven Adams, are officially back together after years of ups and downs.
“Hey everybody! I have some awesome news I’d like to share!” Bear wrote on his private account. “After spending time with River and seeing Raiven again, we realized our feelings never really faded. So instead of just being co-parents, we’ve decided to be a family in every sense!”
The couple’s journey has been anything but smooth. Their relationship first made headlines back in 2019 when they announced their engagement in August, only to call it off a month later. In September 2020, Bear confirmed their breakup to People, saying, “Raiven and I have decided to part ways as a couple. She’s a wonderful person, and I will always care for her, but sometimes people are better as friends.”
However, just a day after their split, Raiven revealed she was expecting their first child. The situation became complicated when, in early 2021, rumors circulated that Bear was attempting to disestablish his parental rights. Bear swiftly clarified the misunderstanding on Instagram, stating, “I am not trying to un-establish myself as River’s dad. I’m fighting to establish my rights as his father so I can be there for him equally.”
It wasn’t until late September 2021 that Bear finally met his son, River, in person. Sharing his joy online, Bear wrote, “There’s no feeling like holding your very own son for the first time. River is perfect! It was amazing seeing Raiven again too.”

The COVID-19 pandemic had kept the family apart for longer than expected. Bear had previously shared with In Touch Weekly in August 2021 that he postponed visiting River due to health concerns. “With the virus going around, I didn’t think it was safe. But now with more accurate testing, I finally had the chance to meet my boy without worrying about bringing anything harmful back to my family.”
Raiven echoed the sentiment in a 2021 interview with People, describing their long-awaited meeting as “very surreal.” She added, “It was heartbreaking being apart for so long, but we stayed connected through video chats and photos. Still, nothing compares to the moment Bear held River for the first time.”
Fast forward to 2025, Bear and Raiven have matured through their shared experiences of parenthood, challenges, and growth. While their journey has been rocky, their recent reunion marks a hopeful new chapter.
