A Little Angel Appears Out of Nowhere – Kendra Duggar Secretly Gives Birth and the Baby’s Identity Is a Shocking Surprise! Details in the comments!!

The episode begins with Kendra’s contractions growing more intense at home, and she and and Joe drop their son Garrett off with her family before heading to the hospital after midnight.

By the time her water breaks at 4:30 am, she appears to be in intense pain, leaning against Joe while he rubbed her back.

They move to sitting together on the bed, with Kendra panting and clearly suffering while Joe tries to coach her through slow inhales and exhales.

Finally, getting close to the big moment, Kendra lies down on the bed and twists in pain, telling Joe she’s feeling nauseated. She appears to gag before the cameras cut away.

Just in time, Kendra’s mother Christina, 39, arrives. She gives her daughter words of encouragement while Kendra shares fears of throwing up again.

Kendra continues to moan in bed, scrunching up her face and crying — but the nurse tells her that she needs to wait to push until the doctor comes.

‘I don’t want to wait,’ Kendra moans, her face contorted in pain.

‘I can’t do this,’ she says. ‘What’s taking him so long?’

Kendra appears to start instinctively pushing as her body inches toward the moment of birth, but the nurse tells her again not to push. The doctor is busy delivering another baby.’

‘I know I wanted him here but now I really don’t care,’ Kendra cries.

Finally, it’s decided that the attending nurse will deliver the baby, and she does so successfully at 5:33 am.

The ordeal over, Kendra and Joe are all smiles holding their daughter. Afterward, Kendra rests in bed, thanking her husband for being there to help her.

‘I thought I was gonna die,’ she says.

Though the experience ends in happiness — with Kendra, Joe, their parents, and some of their siblings cooing over the new baby — it was certainly dramatic, if not dangerous.

While there are some legitimate reasons for telling a woman to resist the natural urge to push during childbirth — such as fixing an issue with an umbilical cord or preventing shoulder dystocia — those who do also face the possibly of myriad complications in addition to the prolonged pain.

‘If a woman’s cervix is fully dilated and she has the urge, she should be allowed to push, barring some unusual complication with mother or baby,’ Dana Gossett, chief of gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, told Vice.

‘Her progress through labor should be dependent on what’s happening with her body and her baby, and not on the location of her doctor or midwife. Because, really, the location of the doctor or midwife should be responsive to how she’s progressing through labor.’

According to a Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis study, women who resist the urge are at a higher risk of postpartum bleeding and infection, and the babies are at a higher risk of developing sepsis.

It can also lead to permanent brain damage for the baby.

Perhaps the most famous case of this is Rosemary Kennedy, the eldest daughter of Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy.

When Rose was in labor, her doctor was delayed in arriving to deliver the baby, and a nurse at the scene was determined that Rose should wait.

She went so far as to hold Rose’s legs closed, then push the baby’s head back up through the birth canal, holding it there for two hours.

Due to the resulting lack of oxygen, Rosemary suffered permanent brain damage that slowed her development and contributed to other issues.
