When it comes to reality shows, fans often question what’s real and what’s just for the cameras. Alaskan Bush People is no exception, with fans wondering what was really going on. Even people who’ve claimed to have known the family have spoken about the show. However, Bear Brown has recently spoke out about these stories concerning the show.

Audiences Have Had A Few Questions About What Really Happened On Alaskan Bush People Over The Years

On Alaskan Bush People, fans saw the Brown family live off the grid in Alaska. Over the years, however, even fans of the show have often questioned what was real on the show.

In addition, stories abound of the fate of Browntown, the family’s home site. Recently, however, one member of the family, Bear Brown, discussed what people were saying on social media.

In a video on Instagram, Bear opened things up saying, “Where to start? ‘I’m not a real Alaskan.’ Was the show staged? Was the show fake? Did we leave Browntown in a mess? Did construction people actually build up the stuff in Browntown? Are we hated by all locals and not welcome back in Alaska?”

Bear proceeded to answer each idea with repeated a “no.” He continued, “I was born in Wrangell, Alaska on June 10th in 1987 on a Wednesday. I did not move out of Alaska until I was 30 years old. Nor did I have my first phone until I was 29 years old. All that is public record.”

Bear Brown Discussed Stories Concerning What Happened To Browntown

“The show was not fake. It simply followed my family which you can actually tell how not faked it is if you actually watch the show. Not faked at all.”

One concession Bear made was that, “Construction people did build stuff in Browntown.” However, he shared that it was for crew-members and producers, so that they wouldn’t be “standing in the weather all day. Because it rained so often. Pretty rough weather in Alaska.”

On the issue of locals hating the family, Bear claimed this was an exaggeration. He claimed, “A few people on their computer that were jealous that our family was picked up for a show and theirs wasn’t? Sure.” He claimed the Brown family was “adored by a lot of people in Alaska.” He also claimed that a lot of people he knew growing up in the state weren’t on computers.

Bear also denied claims the family left Browntown in a mess, noting that film shows just when his family left. He mused, this was taken “from an aerial view. And you can see just how pristine we left it when we left. We didn’t leave it and come back [to make a mess.]”

The Alaskan Bush People Star Ended The Video By Sharing Some Advice

Bear continued, “But people will always believe bad before they believe good. Which is something that’s really, really sad. And then there’s the people who know the truth.” He then shared a story about a family friend who the family knew for years, even watching the man’s dogs for him at times. However, he revealed this friend still told publications that the family didn’t live in Alaska. He noted, “We did all this and all that. And it’s just blatantly lies from someone that literally…we watched their dogs when they would leave. Some of this is just insane, guys.”

Bear concluded things sharing, “But life is much too short to dwell on drama and all. And I suggest that people get out more, smile a little bit bigger, and enjoy the life you have while you have it. God bless.”

Taking to the comments, a few fans shared their reactions to the video. Quite a few hoped that the Brown family would get a new show, helping to share their real stories. Some comments included:

  • “Wish you guys would film again!! That would be such a great show to see where you’re all at now and see your children.”
  • “Haters are gonna hate, but we love you just the way you are.”
  • “Enjoy the time you have while you have it. Wise words. Positivity is one of the many reasons I love this family and watched the show.”
