The family still lived on the mountain in Washington – or at least the show made it seem that way. Some fans still believe that Billy and his kids lived in very different places but kept it hidden to keep their television personas intact for their brand. Now, thanks to Ami Brown’s nasty court battles against Billy’s business partner, more is being discovered.

In the court documents (via The U.S. Sun), Billy left his family $31,000 worth of livestock after his death. This includes longhorn cattle, horses, and ostriches. Also, the Washington property and its homes, barns, and other structures are worth $415,000.

More sentimental belongings added to the net worth, including $5,000 in baseball cards and $7,000 in jewelry. He also had rare “coins and ingots” worth around $10,000. He also owned about $21,050 in household items, a $14,000 Harley Davidson chopper custom bear motorcycle, and a $120 framed portrait of their home.

Ami Brown Claims She Does Not Have Alaskan Bush People Money

What is bizarre is that if Billy Brown was getting paid $500,000 an episode of Alaskan Bush People, he was making about $5 million a season. Despite this, Ami Brown claims in the lawsuit she has $415,000 in land and $2,000 in their bank account. She also has a debt of $27,000 in medical bills.

Ami claims that all payments for the show were made to Alaskan Wilderness Brown Family, LLC. That company then transferred money into the family’s individual accounts to use for household income and common expenses. She also said she is waiting for permission from Discovery Channel to give more information about the LLC.

“Gathering this information is taking longer than expected because I have been very ill, which makes everything – especially communicating – very difficult for me,” Ami said. She was rushed to the hospital recently with health pains and spent days in the hospital.

Robert Micky Maughon sued Billy Brown’s estate. He said he invested $20,000 in Brown’s author career and was supposed to be paid 10% of all book sales in a Lifetime contract. He said he hadn’t received anything.
