Joseph Duggar Confesses To Crimes, Blames ‘God,’ ‘Misled’

Former Counting On star Joseph Duggar has pleaded not guilty to molesting a nine-year-old girl while in Bay County, Florida. This allegedly happened in 2020 while on vacation, and he was arrested on March 18th, 2026. Despite entering a plea of “not guilty,” the father of four has allegedly confessed to his crimes. Furthermore, he is blaming “God” and being “misled.” Keep reading for more details on what he had to say.
Joseph Duggar Confesses Amid ‘Not Guilty’ Plea
It has been a mess for Joseph Duggar after he was accused of molesting a nine-year-old girl in 2020. This allegedly happened while on a vacation in Florida, but he was not arrested until March 2026. The victim is now fourteen, and Joseph allegedly did confess to her father what he had done. That subsequently led to his arrest, but he entered a plea of “not guilty.” Followers of the Duggar family are not all that surprised, given the fact that his older brother, Joshua Duggar, was sentenced to over a decade in jail for child pornography.

Josh also allegedly molested his younger sisters and the babysitter, so there was a lot going on behind the scenes. Now, Joseph has pleaded not guilty to molestation, but there is a rumor that there is a recorded phone call as well. On it, Joseph allegedly confesses to what he had done, but he states that he went down the “wrong path with God.” Additionally, he says he had been around “the wrong people,” and that he was “misled.” Furthermore, his wife, Kendra, who was also arrested, supposedly knows what he did. However, she has directed her anger toward her family instead.
Those who were affiliated with Joseph Duggar’s church believe that it played a huge part in what happened. They allegedly encouraged this behavior, and it was never frowned upon. Others simply blame his parents.
All For A Plea Deal
One theory is that Joseph Duggar went with “not guilty” in order to get a plea deal, which makes sense. Others want to know how he knows the victim, which is irrelevant:
- They plead not guilty to get a plea deal.
- He almost seems fine with being arrested. I’ve heard a few of the phone calls with his wife, and he sounds like he’s been arrested for pot or something minor.
- The actual audacity to plead not guilty but admit to the crimes? I’m are you ok boy.
It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out. Do you think Joseph Duggar will serve time, or will he get off with a slap on the wrist? Let us know in the comments below.
