đ LydiaPlath Is Done Fighting The Battle With Family & Says Its The Last Straw In New Interview! đ„
The Pain Behind the Family Feud
Speaking on that, thatâs pretty much what happened with my oldest brother â he was through a pretty traumatic marriage, emotionally abusive if I may say so. And yeah, so like obviously him seeing his younger sister get married would just be like, âNo, no. You donât know, marriage is hard!â
Lydia and Zach Wise have finally stopped in the midst of their whirlwind romance to sit down and give viewers a full understanding of how things really went down â from their wedding day chaos to all the burning questions that fans had after the Revive Her podcast.

A few things immediately stood out: Lydia revealed she did not watch her wedding episode on TV because she refuses to. She doesnât want anything to âcloud the moments she remembers.â She insists she wasnât part of any drama â which left many confused, since the night before the wedding her own brother tried to convince her not to get married!
It seems Lydia might be trying to bury those painful memories, pretending the drama doesnât exist. But instead of confronting it, she simply said she was focusing on her own peace.
Zach Speaks Out â âWe Canât Control the Noiseâ
Zach admitted that even though they didnât watch the show, they did read online comments, and sometimes that led them to go back and check certain clips. However, the interviewer pointed out a valid concern: âIf they donât watch the show, how can they fix what they donât see?â
For example, when Isaac called Zach âlazy,â Lydia wouldnât have known unless she saw it. Zach defended himself, saying people have called him controlling â but heâs not giving negativity any attention. âWe canât worry about the things we canât control,â he said calmly.
Lydia chimed in, saying the hardest part of marriage so far has been the public and media picking apart every little thing. Of course, as stars of one of TLCâs biggest reality shows, that shouldnât come as a surprise â but it clearly still stings.
Theyâve set new boundaries, and Ethanâs behavior was mentioned as an example. Zach said Ethanâs comments about him being âgayâ or âacting outâ didnât bother him â because âEthan is pained.â Lydia added that Ethan had gone through a traumatic and abusive marriage, and that he was projecting that pain onto them.
Family Ties and Future Seasons
The question many fans are asking: are things fixed with her mom? Lydiaâs answer was short â âNo.â
Zach revealed theyâve been keeping their marriage private and distant from the family, even though they live only 45 minutes away. He admitted he âjust tolerates themâ when they meet, explaining that he never liked how they tested him instead of getting to know him.

He made one striking point: âIf Lydiaâs happiness is the only measure of how they treat me, what happens if sheâs unhappy one day?â
Lydia also addressed her momâs claim that Zach was controlling about wedding colors â saying it was both hurtful and untrue. âShe didnât even get the colors right. If she knew me, sheâd know that didnât matter. Calling Zach controlling was just the last straw.â
Despite all the tension, the interview ended on a hopeful note. Lydia and Zach appear determined to protect their peace â and fans believe this could set up a dramatic yet emotional Season 8.
So, what do YOU think? Are Lydia and Zach handling things the right way â or are they still trapped in the Plath familyâs drama web?
