Reality TV fans Gil and Kelly Jo Bates raise their brood of nineteen kids on UPtv’s Bringing Up Bates. The show aired for ten seasons. Since its cancellation in 2021, the family has continued to share glimpses of their lives on social media.

Many of the kids are now married with multiple children of their own. Erin Bates Paine welcomed her seventh child with her husband, Chad Paine, at the end of August. Unfortunately, she suffered serious complications and ended up in the ICU for weeks. Her siblings stepped up to help while Erin was hospitalized. Erin Bates Finally Leaves Hospital

Erin Bates Paine and her husband announced in April that they were expecting their seventh child. They revealed that the baby was a boy that they planned to name Henry Blythe Paine.

The baby arrived on August 25th. He was born healthy, but his mom suffered serious health complications. She developed a UTI and a kidney infection that led to septic shock. Erin Bates Paine also suffered a seizure while in the ICU.

She was finally released from the hospital after a scary and unexpected three-week stay. She shared an update that she still hasn’t regained use of her right leg but is happy to be home with her seven children.

Bates Siblings Step Up For Erin’s Kids Big Time

Chad Paine spent a lot of time sitting vigil by his wife’s side and visiting their son in the NICU. Luckily, Erin’s siblings were there to help out with her other six children.

Fans of the Bates family took to social media to share how the Bates siblings stepped up in a big way during Erin’s hospitalization. According to a fan, Erin’s siblings Tori, Alyssa, and Lawson were among the family members helping with the kids. Erin’s parents, Gil and Kelly Jo, also pitched in.

Another sibling, Carlin Bates, gave birth to her third child while Erin was hospitalized.
