Jana Duggar received lots of support when she announced her pregnancy — especially from her fellow Duggar family members.
On Aug. 18, Jana, 35, announced she is pregnant and expecting her first baby with husband Stephen Wissmann, sharing the exciting news with a post on Instagram. The couple’s announcement came almost exactly a year after they got married.
After she shared her post on Instagram, Jana got many comments of support from her family members. Her sister Jill Duggar Dillard, 34, wrote, “So excited for y’all! ❤️.”

Jana’s sister Jessa Duggar Seewald, 32, who just welcomed her sixth baby with her husband, wrote, “Can’t wait to meet this baby! 🥰.” Jana’s sister-in-law Hannah Duggar, who is married to her brother Jeremiah, wrote, “So thrilled for y’all!! 😍.”
The mom-to-be also received support from members of the Bates family, who starred on the reality TV show Bringing Up Bates.
“Congratulations! So happy for you 🤭,” Carlin Bates wrote, who is married to Evan Stewart. Whitney Bates, who is married to husband Zach, said, “Congratulations 🥹❤️.” Lastly, Josie Bates Balka, who is married to Kelton Balka, wrote, “So happy for you!!! Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️.”
Last August, Jana married Wissmann in Prairie Grove, Ark., in a “classic, elegant” ceremony.
The pair, who got engaged on June 15, 2024, exchanged traditional vows at The Grand at Willow Springs in front of 500 guests. Jessa Duggar Seewald served as the bride’s maid of honor, while her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Jordyn Duggar were bridesmaids.
“I think it is one of those things that all girls envision someday,” Jana told PEOPLE of her wedding just two days before the celebration.
“For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of.’ And just to see it coming about is incredible and kind of hard to believe. It’s a dream come true
