Rain Brown Breaks Her Silence with Emotional Update on Her Mom Ami Brownās Health Crisis
“Hey everybody, itās Rain Brown here. I just wanted to hop on and give you all a quick but important update about my mom, Ami Brown. I know Iāve been a little MIA lately ā and Iām sorry for going quiet ā but itās been a really intense couple of weeks, and I needed a moment to breathe.”

About a week ago, our family faced a scary situation. My mom suddenly got really sick. At first, she tried to sleep it off, thinking it was something small, but things only got worse. As many of you know, my mom has emphysema and COPD, so whenever she starts showing symptoms, we all go into high alert.
Eventually, my siblings took her to the hospital (Iām currently without a car, so Iāve been doing what I can from home), and the doctors diagnosed her with severe acute pneumonia caused by a virus ā not bacterial, thankfully. That diagnosis came after they did a CT scan to rule out other concerns, including the terrifying possibility of her cancer returning. Thankfully, those results came back clear.

Her oxygen levels were dangerously low, and she had a few other complications. Her heart rate was so low they couldnāt even give her pain meds at first because of fear it could stop altogether. It was a really frightening time ā I wonāt lie, I was panicking ā and I feel bad for not keeping you guys updated in the moment. But now you know why I was quiet.
She was put on oxygen and given IV antibiotics for about a week. Her condition slowly started improving. Her oxygen levels still arenāt strong enough for her to go without support, so sheās now home with an oxygen tank and resting comfortably. She’s staying with my brother Noah, whoās taking amazing care of her.
She’s eating again ā even finishing meals ā and coughing up the infection, which is actually a good thing. That means her body is clearing it out. Her internal systems are functioning well, and she’s regaining strength every day.
I know this is a weird video to be smiling and laughing in, but the truth is ā Iām just so relieved. Iām not happy she got sick, of course not. But now that sheās safe and recovering, I feel like I can finally breathe again. Thatās why Iām smiling. Thatās why I can finally talk about it.
To all of you who saw my Facebook post asking for prayers, thank you. I couldnāt say much at the time because we were still in the dark, and I didnāt want to scare anyone before we had answers. But your thoughts and prayers meant so much.
