TLC Star Amy Slayton Arrested in Tennessee on Drug and Child Endangerment Charges

Amy Slayton, known for her role in TLC’s 1,000-lb Sisters, was arrested on September 2nd in Crockett County, Tennessee. According to a statement from the local sheriff’s department, Slayton faces charges of drug possession and child endangerment.

The arrest occurred after deputies responded to a call at a safari park regarding a guest allegedly being bitten by a camel. Upon arriving, authorities detected suspicious odors emanating from the guest’s vehicle. Further investigation led to Slayton’s arrest on charges of illegal possession of Schedule 1 and Schedule 6 drugs, along with two counts of child endangerment.

A man identified as Brian Scott Lavorn was also arrested at the scene. Both individuals were booked into the Crockett County Jail. Authorities emphasized that the charges are accusations and that Slayton is presumed innocent unless proven guilty through due process.

Amy Slayton shares two children, 4-year-old Gage and 2-year-old Glenn, with her ex-husband Michael Halterman. The couple divorced in March 2023 after four years of marriage. Following her split, Amy has been open about her dating life, including a brief relationship with a man named Kevin, whom she accused of seeking fame.
