1000-lb. Sisters fans have watched Tammy Slaton work incredibly hard to get down to her goal weight. That enabled her to undergo weight loss surgery. It was a scary moment when she went under, but the benefits outweighed the risks. Tammy has now lost over five hundred pounds and feels better than ever. She is even tinier than her sister, Amy Slaton Halterman, weight and clothing-wise. Now, she has finally been approved to undergo skin removal surgery, which has been life-changing for her brother, Chris Combs.

He is a new man, and Tammy will be a completely different woman when she is done. However, as the surgery comes closer, Tammy starts to freak out about what she is going to do. She is nervous about the pain, but also about how she will see herself when it is all over:

“Just really the pain and then my fear of how I’m going to look [when] looking at myself afterwards. I’m so used to seeing all this hanging [from] my arms and now when I wake up Sunday or Saturday, I’m not going to have this anymore.”
