Details of Her Passing
Katie Slayton, a cousin of reality television personalities Amy and Tammy Slayton of 1000-lb Sisters, passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 37. She died at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana, from stage 4 gastric adenocarcinoma, a rare form of stomach cancer she had been diagnosed with earlier in the year.
Her obituary on the Whitell Funeral Home website states that she was born on September 17, 1987, in Morganfield, Kentucky. Prior to her diagnosis, she worked as a deputy at the Henderson County Jail and was also an employee at Barry Global. She is survived by her partner, Natalie Bailey, their three children (Landon, Liam, and Lily), her parents, and two brothers, Jeremiah and Jesse.
GoFundMe Campaign
