Doubling Down with the Derricos star Marian ‘GG’ Derrico has been battling lung cancer for a while and even gave up chemotherapy. She was undergoing special treatments when she opted for alternative methods. The Derrico family has since left TLC and is supposedly working with another network. Regardless, the love and concern for GG continue to flow. Fans are obsessed with her and only want the best for GG, including Karen Derrico. She recently set up a GoFundMe on behalf of GG, sharing a status update and how much they were hoping to raise.

Karen explained that this was for the benefit of her “mother-in-love,” while also sharing a snap from GG’s bedside. The goal is $140K with Karen noting that fans have long asked for a GoFundMe or a way to help GG. This money will go towards basic necessities and treatments that her insurance will not cover. It has gone on for over a decade, and it is still an uphill battle. All of the money will go to GG’s son, Deon Derrico, to assist with all of his mother’s needs. As of now, they have raised nearly $12K in a little over two months.

However, since they are not a constant reality television presence with Doubling Down with the Derricos, some may have forgotten her struggles. Yet, GG is doing her best under the circumstances, and her family wants to offer the best care possible. Once fans learned about her GoFundMe, they were saddened but also eager to assist. Viewers love her so much and hate the fact that she is in the middle of this heartbreaking battle.

That is sad. I just googled it. It looks like GG has been batting cancer since 2011, with all the ups & downs a cancer diagnosis brings.
I normally wouldn’t entertain a go fund me for a reality celebs, Because they have $$ floating in.However I love GG and I heard the family has multiple financial issues (prob what brought on the divorce) so Id imagine they are in debt till kingdom come.

Of course, some fans were shocked that Karen Derrico was the one who set up the GoFundMe. They had believed she and Deon were splitting up, but she still wanted to help GG. Hopefully, they raise as much as they can to keep her comfortable.
