š A Raw & Emotional Revelation: Jinger & Jessa Duggar Open Up About MiscarriagesāTheir Voices Breaking Hearts š
In an incredibly raw and heartfelt episode of the Ginger and Jeremy Podcast, airing July 9, sisters Jinger, Jessa, and Joy-Anna Duggar opened up about some of the most devastating moments of their lives: the pain and grief of pregnancy loss. With voices heavy with emotion, the sisters courageously revisited the heartbreak of miscarriageāoffering solidarity, hope, and healing to countless women whoāve walked the same path.

š Joy-Anna Duggar: “I’m so sorry, but there’s not a heartbeat.”
For Joy-Anna, the nightmare began in 2019 during her 20-week scan while expecting a baby girl. She recounted the exact moment her world shifted:
“She put the Doppler on my belly and, right away, her face just completely sunk… and she was like, ‘I’m so sorry, but there’s not a heartbeat.'”
The shock was immediate. āThat fog of grief,ā she recalled, ālingered for months.ā
“It took me six months to feel like I was even functioning again,” Joy-Anna admitted, describing the weight of postpartum emotions and trauma.
She and husband Austin Forsyth held a funeral for their daughter, Annabelle, shortly after her passingāa quiet but deeply sacred act of remembrance.
š Jessa Duggar: āYou’re bracing yourself… like, this may go how it went last time.ā
For Jessa Seewald, the journey was equally painful. After suffering two miscarriages, in 2020 and again in 2022, she confessed how hard it was to fully embrace the joy of a new pregnancy.
“Itās hard to allow yourself to feel excited when you see that positive test. Youāre bracing yourself, wonderingāwill I lose this one too?”
Now pregnant with her sixth child with husband Ben Seewald, Jessa reflected on how her loss changed her perspective:

“I took a lot less for granted. Iād still complain about the aches and pains, but Iād remind myselfāI wouldnāt want it any other way. Iām thankful, even for the hard parts, because my baby is still there. Iāve learned to cherish life so much more.”
