The Hidden Chaos Behind the Cameras

“Things like ‘I’m a spineless worm today.’ Yeah, this is way too similar to all the Olivia stuff. Would you please stop?” — that’s how one viewer began her shocking commentary.

Welcome or welcome back to my channel, Tough Topic. My name is Britney, and now that Welcome to Plathville will be returning for another season, I just can’t wrap my mind around the behaviors the family carry off camera and portray as something else on camera.

For the longest time, Olivia was looked at as this villain. Even though Kim did not know how to respect her boundaries, Ethan even stood up for Olivia for the longest — until he noticed that Olivia started becoming more in tune with what she enjoys in life. And Ethan called it “being too liberal.”

Yes, these are the things that never get shared on the show — along with the brothers Micah, Ethan, and Isaac trying to set Lydia’s boyfriend on because they thought he was gay. Now, don’t get me wrong — there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being conservative or believing in something different from your peers, but transferring those beliefs into something that could potentially turn into a hate crime is insane.

Veronica, who is Micah’s ex-girlfriend, she is spilling more details about the family that just gives me the ick.

In an all-new sneak peek, you can see some of what Micah’s relationship happens to unfold. You see Ethan tell Micah that “Veronica is way too similar to Olivia.” And in the season trailer, you see Ethan tell Veronica:

“If you want to be a part of this family, this is the price you pay.”

And I’m sitting here thinking — why does he think that’s some sort of prize to be in the Plath family?

But Veronica shared that Ethan even threatened to “like a pig.” She says the camera crew was there when he did it — but she doubts they will air it.

The Scandals Keep Getting Darker

The same with Lydia’s husband. She says the night before the engagement, the brothers were plotting against Zach, who is Lydia’s now husband, trying to set him on. When Lydia’s husband found out, he was mortified because that was just a day before he proposed.

That is really so unfortunate because Lydia is such a soft, gentle soul. She doesn’t bother anyone. And for her brothers to try and bully her husband like that is insane. People can’t just look at someone and assume.

According to Olivia and Veronica, there’s so much that will get glossed over — including Ethan’s behavior, Kim’s drinking problem, and the fight between Micah and Isaac after Lydia’s wedding.

Now Isaac, he’s not even 21 yet, but production is there witnessing Isaac drinking — yet they don’t do or say anything. “I really hope they get exposed in the right way,” Britney said, “whether that’s a lawsuit, a criminal charge, or just plain and simple nonsupport of the Plath family.”

Even Kim’s boyfriend, Ken, has been exposed by Olivia — as he was selling slavery equipment on Facebook. Like, what?!

Although Ethan debuts his new girlfriend Tegan on the show — spoiler alert — they are no longer together. So, we can just imagine how that went.
