💔 LydiaPlath Is Done Fighting The Battle With Family & Says Its The Last Straw In New Interview! 😥
The Pain Behind the Family Feud
Speaking on that, that’s pretty much what happened with my oldest brother — he was through a pretty traumatic marriage, emotionally abusive if I may say so. And yeah, so like obviously him seeing his younger sister get married would just be like, “No, no. You don’t know, marriage is hard!”
Lydia and Zach Wise have finally stopped in the midst of their whirlwind romance to sit down and give viewers a full understanding of how things really went down — from their wedding day chaos to all the burning questions that fans had after the Revive Her podcast.

A few things immediately stood out: Lydia revealed she did not watch her wedding episode on TV because she refuses to. She doesn’t want anything to “cloud the moments she remembers.” She insists she wasn’t part of any drama — which left many confused, since the night before the wedding her own brother tried to convince her not to get married!
It seems Lydia might be trying to bury those painful memories, pretending the drama doesn’t exist. But instead of confronting it, she simply said she was focusing on her own peace.
Zach Speaks Out – “We Can’t Control the Noise”
Zach admitted that even though they didn’t watch the show, they did read online comments, and sometimes that led them to go back and check certain clips. However, the interviewer pointed out a valid concern: “If they don’t watch the show, how can they fix what they don’t see?”
For example, when Isaac called Zach “lazy,” Lydia wouldn’t have known unless she saw it. Zach defended himself, saying people have called him controlling — but he’s not giving negativity any attention. “We can’t worry about the things we can’t control,” he said calmly.
Lydia chimed in, saying the hardest part of marriage so far has been the public and media picking apart every little thing. Of course, as stars of one of TLC’s biggest reality shows, that shouldn’t come as a surprise — but it clearly still stings.
They’ve set new boundaries, and Ethan’s behavior was mentioned as an example. Zach said Ethan’s comments about him being “gay” or “acting out” didn’t bother him — because “Ethan is pained.” Lydia added that Ethan had gone through a traumatic and abusive marriage, and that he was projecting that pain onto them.
Family Ties and Future Seasons
The question many fans are asking: are things fixed with her mom? Lydia’s answer was short — “No.”
Zach revealed they’ve been keeping their marriage private and distant from the family, even though they live only 45 minutes away. He admitted he “just tolerates them” when they meet, explaining that he never liked how they tested him instead of getting to know him.

He made one striking point: “If Lydia’s happiness is the only measure of how they treat me, what happens if she’s unhappy one day?”
Lydia also addressed her mom’s claim that Zach was controlling about wedding colors — saying it was both hurtful and untrue. “She didn’t even get the colors right. If she knew me, she’d know that didn’t matter. Calling Zach controlling was just the last straw.”
Despite all the tension, the interview ended on a hopeful note. Lydia and Zach appear determined to protect their peace — and fans believe this could set up a dramatic yet emotional Season 8.
So, what do YOU think? Are Lydia and Zach handling things the right way — or are they still trapped in the Plath family’s drama web?
