The 7 Little Johnstons star is getting ready for prom in an upcoming episode, and the magazine has an exclusive clip of all the heated moments with the store staff, as she looks to style the teenager as she goes dress shopping with her mother Amber, aunt and cousin.
Emma, 20, started by trying on a stunning royal blue sequin dress, but it wasn’t quite what she was looking for in terms of the ‘Under the Sea’ dress code.
After a conflict with a staff member, she decided to try on a few dresses, narrowing her choices between a sky-blue lace mermaid dress with silver and white detailing and a spicy tangerine neon orange sequin dress.
“She said she liked the blue dress,” Amber joked, while Emma said the second dress was her favorite.
In the clip, she also revealed who she would be going with on the new show. “Last year I went with Ella [my cousin], but this year, because it’s a new start for the show, I wanted to go with a different friend,” she said, adding that she would be going with someone “fun and energetic.”
While watching her daughter shop, Amber shared the challenges of buying dresses for someone like Emma, who has achondroplasia dwarfism.
“We have to have this outrageously priced dress altered so it can’t be resold,” Amber explained.
Emma’s sister, Anna, who also has the condition, spoke candidly about the plight of others with the condition on Judgment Night. It’s obvious we can’t sell our dresses because they’re altered. It’s weird that we buy clothes from other little people. Little people don’t do that, I don’t understand why, she said.
The clip ends with a hanger as Emma doesn’t reveal which Dress she decided to take home. However, those who follow the reality TV star will know which Dress she chose.
This isn’t the first time Emma has dressed up. She attended a school dance in 2023 and wore a bright pink V-neck dress with fringe and light blue heels.
